Worship Preview

Note from the Pastor,

Cleanliness - it's an obsession of ours.  Go to the grocery store and there are aisles upon aisles of products to clean everything - your body, your hands, your face, your hair, your clothes, your house, your computer, your phone - the list goes on and on!  So, what does it mean when Jesus says, "Be made clean?"  Come to worship this week and contemplate with us what it means to be made clean in Christ.  We will also baptize Coral Walz, and it's my last week at Fish Lake, so you won't want to miss this celebration (I hear there's going to be cake...)!  Can't wait to see you there!

Pastors Grant and Amanda have accepted a call to be the Country Coordinators for the ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission program in Madagascar!  Pastor Amanda's last day at Fish Lake will be on January 12th.  Council President Justin Ricke, along with the whole church council, are working with Deacon Krista Lind of the St. Paul Area Synod on a plan for Fish Lake moving forward.  Please be in prayer for Fish Lake during this time of transition.

2020 Youth Mission Trip

Next summer the youth of Fish Lake will be headed to Savannah, GA to serve alongside residents there and learn more about this historic town!  We will leave on Saturday, July 10th and return Saturday, July 18th.  We will serve Monday-Thursday during the day, then the staff will have informative and fun activities planned for us in the evenings.  The cost for the week will be $550.00, but if money is an issue talk with Pastor Amanda and we'll figure things out.  To register please bring a deposit of $100.00 and a completed registration form to the church office, or get it to Pastor Amanda.  This is going to be a great trip, but there are only 15 spaces reserved, so if you are interested be sure to get you registration in fast!!

Offering Counters Needed

Are you good with numbers?  Or maybe you just have some time to kill while someone you love socializes in the basement?  The council is looking for volunteers to count the offering after worship.  The commitment is one Sunday per month for 30-45 minutes after worship.  You will train with our dedicated counters who have done this task for years, so you will know exactly what you need to do.  If you have any interest in serving Fish Lake in this capacity, please contact the office.  Thanks!
