Change to Sunday School Calendar:  Volunteer recognition will be held during worship on Sunday, May 11, and the end-of-year celebration will be at 9:00 on Sunday, May 18.

150 x 150 = $22,500!!  What does that mean?  If all 150 families of Fish Lake tithe 10% of their economic stimulus checks (average of $1,500), that would amount to a grand total of $22,500 for work and ministry projects in and around Fish Lake Lutheran!  Even if half of our families participate, that's still $10,000!  Please pray about what your family might be able to contribute from this unexpected blessing so that our economic stimulus might become a spiritual stimulus for all of us at Fish Lake!  Any undesignated gifts will go into the general fund.   Checks and cash should be put into an envelope marked clearly "Fish Lake Lutheran Spiritual Stimulus Fund", and dropped off in the church office, mailed in, or placed in the offering plates.  Thank you!

Painting Fundraiser:  On Saturday, June 21, members of Fish Lake are invited to take part in a day-long effort and celebration as we gather to paint the two sides of the church.  In addition to painting we'll be having a pig roast!  We need 10 teams to sign up to paint.  Each team will paint a section of the church.  So put your team together and sign up on the poster downstairs by Sunday, May 18.  We'll meet after church on the 18th.

Saturday, June 28 has also been scheduled to complete the project if needed or to use as an alternate in case of rain.  More details will be coming.  Talk to Tom Lofboom or a council member for more information.

As a congregation member, you may donate any amount to any or hopefully all the teams.  Simply make a check out to Fish Lake Lutheran Church Building Fund and in the memo write which team you are donating to.  Give it to Pastor Dale or the church office, or place in the collection plate on any Sunday.  This amount will be included in your giving statement.

Be Refreshed:  On the first Sunday evening of the month, from 5-7 p.m., you and your entire family are invited to F5@5.  F5 on your computer keyboard is your "Refresh" key.  F5 at Fish Lake stands for Friends, Food, Fun, Family, and Faith.  All of which will be celebrated during these monthly get-togethers for friends and family of Fish Lake.  It too, will be a time of being "refreshed" as we spend time eating together, worshiping together, making crafts, playing games, and activities for the children and youth, and Bible study for the adults.  We hope and pray that you and your family might make F5@5 the place to be each month.  Contact Carrie Stiles for more information.

Do you know that you can help our church by purchasing gift cards for everyday items such as gas, food, dining and clothes?  You purchase the gift card at retail price and the church gets a percentage of each card purchased.  Gift cards can be ordered from over 100 retailers like Wal-Mart, Ticketmaster, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Gander Mountain, Cabela's, Office Max, Best Buy, Menards, Sears, American Eagle, Holiday, Marathon, Cub, Crate & Barrel, Pier 1, Disney, Starbucks, Game Stop, Barnes & Noble, Great Clips and North Branch Outlet Stores.  Cards can be purchased during fellowship time on Sundays or by contacting LaDonna Olson.  Currently the money raised will help out the orphanage in Iringa, Tanzania.

Weekly email updates are available from Pastor Dale every Monday.  These include a summary of the previous Sunday morning worship service, prayer concerns, announcements and upcoming events.  Members who have missed a Sunday especially appreciate receiving this.  If you'd like to be added, please send an email to dstiles@fishlakelutheran.org.

Sunday bulletin items should be submitted to the church office by Wednesday.
