	Ministry Opportunities at Fish Lake Lutheran

	"Deepening Faith" Spiritual Growth Opportunities Throughout the busyness of our days, our spirits call for silence and time to embrace God’s presence. This is God’s invitation to you to create space in your life for deepening your faith. Classes are offered every 2nd and 4th Sunday at 7:00pm. During our classes you will have the opportunity to share your questions and experiences of God’s activity in your life, pray, delve into a Scripture passage, explore faith practices, and have time for silence and reflection. Welcome to all who worship at Fish Lake Lutheran!
May everyone feel God’s love in this community of faith. There is a nursery for children five and younger following the Children’s Sermon, and baby-changing stations are located in both downstairs restrooms. Large-print bulletins and wireless units to assist hearing are available upon request. Visitors are encouraged to provide contact information in the pew pad or guest book in the narthex. 2010-2011 Confirmation Registration - September 8!

Incoming 6th - 8th graders and their parents are reminded that Confirmation Registration for the 2010-2011 program year will take place on Wednesday, September 8, at 6:30pm. Parents and students are expected to attend. Copies of the registration form and guidelines/expectations have been mailed out. They can also be accessed here on our website.

2nd Annual Fish Lake Lutheran 5K

4th Annual Quilt Bingo and Block of the Month

The Quilters are busy at Fish Lake Lutheran preparing for their 4th Annual Quilt Bingo on Saturday, September 18. Photos of this year's quilts can be viewed here. Block of the Month Club has also started at Fish Lake. To find out more, click here.

On the Fish Lake Lutheran homepage under the Monthly Newsletter tab at the top, you can read this month's newsletter (or access past newsletters.) If you prefer this method of reading the Fish Lake Lutheran news, please let the office know if you would like to be removed from the monthly mailing list; we could save some postage (and trees!) in the process. As always, the newsletter will continue to be sent in paper form to those who prefer it that way.

September Mission of the Month- The Refuge in Cambridge

The Refuge Network is a multi-community organization whose primary purpose is to provide supportive services for people who are currently involved or have been involved in an abusive relationship.

The Refuge Network believes that no one deserves to be abused and therefore seeks to bring an end to domestic violence.

The Cambridge Refuge Shelter offers a place of safety and peace to women and children trying to rebuild their lives. Please prayerfully consider supporting Fish Lake Lutheran’s September Mission of the Month, THE REFUGE. All monetary donations collected (please put in a Special Offering Envelope, marked The Refuge) will be given directly to the Cambridge location to help with the incredibly large expense of supporting a shelter. As always, thank you so much for your support of your community!

At the 4th Annual Quilt Bingo on Saturday, September 18th WELCA will be giving all funds raised during the Special Quilt Game to The Refuge. This is another way to support The Refuge with fun and fellowship happening at the same time!
